DynaWeld™ Base and Cap FR Offer Application Flexibility

Phoenix, Arizona (2/8/1999) --- The Johns Manville Roofing Systems Group this week unveiled a new family of DynaWeld™ products, utilizing modified bitumen with a blend of SBS polymer and high quality asphalt. These new products are designed to be heat welded and are particularly suitable for tight or awkward roof areas.

DynaWeld Product Picture "DynaWeld™ Base is designed for use as a premium, modified bitumen ply or base sheet. DynaWeld™ CAP FR can be used as a cap sheet or as a flashing membrane," said Joe Smith, Market Manager for modified bitumen. "For those who cannot or choose not to work with hot asphalt, this product offers an excellent alternative. It also is much easier to apply in those tight areas on the roof," he said.

DynaWeld also can be heat welded directly to DuraBoard™, a new JM roof insulation product. Several constructions have been given UL and FM approval. The DynaWeld membrane is extremely durable with excellent weathering properties. The elastomeric asphalt blend is formulated to provide excellent physical properties for ease of installation and long-term roof performance.
