Denver, Colorado (9/29/1999) --- The Johns Manville Roofing Systems Group unveiled a new Presto-Tite™ Fascia System to provide maximum protection against wind uplift damage. Presto-Tite is a two-part fascia system with an extruded aluminum anchor bar and a snap-on fascia cover. Included in the system are anchor bar splice plates and hex head fasteners.
Presto-Tite is available in three versions-- built-up and modified version, single ply adhered and mechanically fastened version, and single ply stone ballasted. The Presto-Tite Fascia System offers a number of advantages. It is included in all JM Roofing System guarantees. It is FM 1-90 approved and meets ANSI/SPRI-1-98 wind design standards. It has a 20-year, 120-mph warrantee. No stripping in is required and there are no fasteners to penetrate the horizontal roof surface. The system comes in three face sizes to cover one, two or three nailers.
"The Presto-Tite Fascia System can be used in all roofing systems and provides excellent protection against wind uplift," said Peter McCracken, Operations manager, Accessory Products, Johns Manville. "It is an excellent addition to our JM Edge Metal Systems."
In addition to the Presto-Tite Fascia System, JM also offers the Presto Lock® Fascia System and Presto Lock® Coping System. These are economical snap-on systems designed for use with built-up, modified bitumen and single ply roofing systems. Each comes in special sizes, shapes and metals and is available in 29 standard Kynar® 500 colors.
