The Johns Manville UltraGard® white PVC membrane was recently awarded the ENERGY STAR® label by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). By entering into the program. Johns Manville has committed that it's UltraGard PVC membrane meets or exceeds the criteria established for both initial solar reflectance and the maintenance of that reflectance over time.

ENERGY STAR-compliant roof products can reduce costs and save energy by reducing the cooling load of a building, which could lead a building owner to consider using downsized and more efficient air-conditioning equipment. In addition, when used widely throughout a community, reflective roof products can lower the surrounding air temperature and decrease air pollution in urban areas.
