Johns Manville Introduces DynaGrip™ Sheet

An innovative self-adhering roofing system that is effective and safer to use

Denver, Colorado (7/25/2003) --- The Johns Manville Roofing Systems Group announced the introduction of DynaGrip™, self adhering roofing membrane, which incorporates the features of a polyester mat with a blend of Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) rubber and high-quality asphalt. Ideal for low-slope commercial applications requiring two or more plies, the DynaGrip™ system is completely self-contained. It features a base sheet that is self-adhering on both sides and a self-adhering cap sheet with a granular top surface. Side lap seams are self-sealing, and with an easy-to-peel removable release plastic film, installation is simple.

DynaGrip

Because DynaGrip™ can be installed by simply removing the easy-to-peel plastic films, it can be installed by a small roofing crew in up to a third less time than conventionally applied modified bitumen systems. A knife and roller are the only tools required.

DynaGrip™ offers a safer solution to a roofing contractor because it eliminates the need for torching and hot asphalt. Minimal adhesive is required so odors are kept to a minimum.

DynaGrip™ provides excellent tensile strength and puncture resistance. It has full recovery properties to easily handle continual roof expansion and contraction strains. Because of its superior weatherability and durability, the DynaGrip™ Cap Sheet can be used as flashing material as well.
